Our relationship with Ms. King and Esther’s Heart for Transformation has been such a blessing!  Just an hour or so of your day provides the gratitude that each food item you place in that bag is going to fight the distraction of hunger!

Dear Ms, Andrea,
I love you so much. You have been and will continue to be an inspiration to me in my life. I have learned
selfless Christlike love and unfettered faith from your quiet example and powerful testimony. Thank-you
so much for letting me be a part of Ether’s Heart, it has truly changed my life and made me who I am. I
Love you!!

It has truly been a great opportunity to partner with you and serve alongside such an
amazing organization. I’ve really enjoyed being able to practice servant leadership while
helping serve and make a positive impact in our community. Your team is very
organized, welcoming, and intentional about creating meaningful opportunities to impact
lives.
I’m genuinely grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the work you’re doing. It’s
always a blessing to connect with people who have a heart for serving others and
making a difference. I look forward to continuing this journey together and seeing the
lives and communities we can impact.
Thank you again for welcoming me, trusting me to serve, and allowing me to be a part
of something so meaningful. I truly appreciate you and all that you do!

Esther's Heart is just that- all heart!  My students look forward to their weekend food bags each
week and parents reach out and request this extra little addition to help them ensure their kids are eating food they like and have enough to cover for the weekends.  Andrea King is an amazing person who always quickly responds and makes sure that our students are taken care of as soon as the need arises.

TESTIMONIALS

Richard Elmore

There is an unquenching joy in my heart when I serve God through Esther’s Heart food
ministry. Food is a basic need for most people, but for others a necessity to continue
living. Most of us know what it’s like to go without eating; the first day your stomach
growls making all kinds of weird sounds, the second day your stomach starts to hurt and
days later continues to get even worse than the day before.
God says in Proverbs17:6a “ A man’s gift opens doors for him” and when we give the
gift of food to a child it opens the door for us to share with them the ultimate gift of God’s
Son Jesus and the promise of eternal salvation.
Esther’s Heart is doing these things Jesus is talking about by feeding his children. I feel
really blessed to be a part of this wonderful organization of believers that loves Jesus.
May God bless you for your service to Him.

Veronica Washington, Director, Life Project

When our families in the Sugar Creek I/85 corridor told us their children were going hungry over
the weekend, Esther's Heart answered with meal backpacks. When seniors needed a steady hand,
they showed up every month. They've served students and staff in our schools and brought
volunteers and resources wherever the need was greatest.
What sets Esther's Heart apart is that they listen first, then respond. Since 2011, they've provided
more than 90,000 weekend meal backpacks and thousands of meals across our region, always
with dignity and never with conditions. Partnering with  Esther's Heart has made Life Project
stronger, and our community more hopeful.

I have been a proud team member of the Esther’s Heart Team since it was established
now almost 20 years ago. To serve in this ministry has been a blessing to me. Each
time I serve, it reminds me that I could be in the same situation as those we serve.
Thank you Sis King for being obedient and faithful when you answered the call to help
fight hunger and for allowing me to be a part of this great ministry.

Roberta Church found out about Esther's Heart by the hand of God! Some ladies from
Roberta Church were walking and walked past her garage, yes, her garage! She had
food items there and was packing so they talked with Andrea, found out what she was
doing and passed it onto the Chair people of Roberta Church Missions.  The rest, as
the saying goes, is history! We help with backpacks, have helped with serving
the homeless and have provided homemade scarfs, mittens, etc. We also have ladies
that come and help fill the Blessing Box.
It is always a pleasure to partner with you and the Esther's Heart team. Our group at
Roberta Church has thoroughly enjoyed serving with you—your organization,
dedication, and the meaningful impact you make on our community are truly a blessing
to us.
We are grateful God led us to Esther's Heart. It has truly been a Blessing for Roberta
Church to know Andrea and all of her team! We are grateful for the opportunity to work
alongside such a wonderful ministry.

Esther's Heart is a vital lifeline for our unhoused neighbors in Cabarrus County. Under the leadership
of Executive Director Andrea King, the organization serves our community with deep compassion
and dignity, providing essential care through hot meals, warm clothing, haircuts, and baths. Having
worked alongside Esther's Heart through First Presbyterian Church, the Central Carolina Association
of Realtors, and Team Honeycutt of Howard Hanna Real Estate, I have seen firsthand the incredible
impact of their work. They are truly transforming lives and making our community stronger.

A partnership that makes a Difference
For the past several years, our school has been incredibly fortunate to partner with Ms.
King and Esther's heart through their Backpack Program.  As our school's Family
Engagement Coordinator, I have had the privilege of seeing firsthand the difference this
program makes in the lives of our students and their families.
Through this partnership, we are able to provide food and snacks to those students in
need at our school.  But the impact goes far beyond a backpack of food.  The food and
snacks help ensure that children have something to eat when they leave school-during
the evenings, over the weekends, and during times when their families may be
struggling to make ends meet.
For a parent who is worried about how they are going to put food on the table, knowing
that their child will have food to take home can provide something incredibly valuable:
peace of mind.  It means a child can go home for the weekend without wondering where
their next meal will come from. It means a parent can breathe a little easier.  And it
means a child can come to school ready to learn, knowing that some of their basic
needs are being met.
What makes Esther's Heart so special is the compassion behind the program.  This is
not simply about providing food- it is about seeing children, recognizing their needs, and
reminding families that they are not alone.
Our school is also proud to give back to this incredible organization.  Each year, our
teachers and school community hold a donation drive to help restock the Esther's Heart
pantry.  It is showing that this partnership goes both ways.  Esther's heart pours into our
students and families, and we are honored to pour back into the organization that does
so much for our community.
We are deeply grateful to Ms. King and Esther's Heart for the years of partnership,
generosity, and unwavering commitment to children.  Their backpack program has

become an important part of how we support our students and families, and we have
seen the difference that a caring community can make.
Sometimes, making a difference starts with something as simple as a bag of food.  But
for a child and family who need it, that bag represents so much more- it represents care,
dignity, hope, and the reminder that someone cares enough to help.
We are incredibly thankful to be a part of the Esther's Heart family and look forward to
continuing this partnership for years to come.

We, at Westford Methodist Church, love or involvement with Esther's Heart.
For the first few years of our involvement, only the women volunteered.
Now, the men have joined us, and they love it. EH is a wonderful ministry.
